AROMA RESTORE

Aroma Restore is a beautiful blend of essential oils and restorative yoga. Two hours of luxurious restorative yoga, in monthly gatherings, on a Sunday afternoon. Take a pause to nurture + nourish your body + mind with gentle + supportive yoga, aromatherapy and sound.

This workshop offers supportive stillness, to mindfully be aware of our bodies and our breath - intentionally stopping and nurturing our mind and body. During restorative yoga, we allow our bodies to fully rest, without any strain, and allow the props to hold our body lovingly.

Every time we meet we collectively drop out of the hustle and bustle of life, and drop into ourself for invaluable rest, so that we can step forward into our lives as the best version of ourselves!

YIN IMMERSION

Yin yoga is about finding stillness and cooling the body. This style of yoga is the stable, unmoving, hidden aspects of things. On the surface, a Yin practice might seem uneventful. But Yin yoga is a practice of interception, body awareness and going within.

Yin Yoga poses are held for around 3 to 8 minutes, and we gently stretch out the connective tissues during this time, so that the body will respond by making them a little longer and stronger. We stress the tissue, so that the body responds by strengthening it.

This is not a restorative practice, no. The attitude is very different in Yin - we soften, but we also look for our 'edge' and sit at the threshold with our discomfort. Yin Yoga is a mindful practice, we draw our attention inwards, connecting to and softening into the sensations within our body, while not allowing our mind to become attached to the sensations of discomfort.

RETREATS

Yoga retreats are a truly magical time, where a peaceful, sacred pause is offered. We can strip back all the busyness of life and settle into ourselves for some reflection and respite, to unwind and move forward with a deep sense of peace and softness. This sacred time allows us to foster connection, intentionally pause, shift and transform.

Justine’s yoga retreats typically include morning, afternoon/evening yoga practices, varying in style from hatha, vinyasa, restorative and yin, as well as meditation and time in nature. There will be opportunities to pause, learn, create, rest deeply, reset and energise, plus time to connect - with yourself and those around you.

Whilst there is a consciously curated schedule of activities, there is always free time too. Every practice is optional, and each guest is encouraged to listen to their own individual needs.

YIN + SOUND

If you have never experienced a sound bath before, it is a beautiful experience! An amazing array of sound instruments, such a crystal bowls, Tibetan singing bowls, gongs, chimes, drums and other unique instruments are used to create a deep meditative experience. These sounds and vibrations can by-pass the mental chatter of our minds and allow deeper levels of relaxation. We can rebalance, restore and harmonise the nervous system, reducing stress and invoking more ease into our lives.

Yin + Sound offers a deep healing experience, amazing sounds and vibrations coupled with the amazing healing qualities of yin yoga.

The yin yoga practice will open up the meridians (energetic pathways) in the body and create expansive space to receive the amazing benefits of the sound bath. At the completion of this special practice, you will feel more calm, centred, balanced and aligned.

REFLECTIONS & INTENTIONS CIRCLE

During this special event, we look back over the past 12 months, the year that has been, take a personal inventory of our learnings, move our bodies to release that which no longer serves us and participate in ceremony for release. We then look forward to the year to come, feeling lighter to step into the new year, set fresh intentions for the next 12 months and close the circle with a sacred ceremony.

The circle is open to women and men, even your teenage children - you might choose to come along with a friend. It is a safe space for you to choose how much you'd like to contribute. There are opportunities to share and opportunities to reflect silently with yourself.
